3. Barrancos de l’Estret and Salat / Mascarat
- Distance: approx. 10–11 km (circuit)

5. Traditional local trails
The municipality of Calpe has 9 marked traditional routes (ancient farmers’ paths) that cross fields, hills, chapels, and small elevations.
Some of them include:
- Camí del Cocó to Oltà
- Camí del Cocó to Coll de Faixuc
- From the Hermitage of San Joan towards La Cometa
These trails are perfect for those looking for relaxed walks, discovering local corners, and enjoying short, charming sections.

Expert hiking tips to make the most of your trail
- Plan your start time: in summer, set off early (6–7 a.m.) to avoid the midday heat.
- Stay hydrated: carry at least 1.5–2 litres of water for long routes. Bring extra if there are no reliable water sources.
- Sun protection: hat, sunglasses, and broad-spectrum sunscreen.
- Proper footwear: hiking boots or trail shoes with good grip.
- Layer your clothing: light garments that can also protect you from wind in higher areas.
